Lincoln
Charles Donald Crain Jr.
2-24-1959 — 3-20-2026
Don's battle with GBM has come to a close. He passed quietly at home with his loving family by his side.
Don was born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He attended Baton Rouge Junior Academy, Baker High School and Southwestern Adventist College in Keene, Texas.
In 1984 Don married Beverly Bendall and they were blessed with beautiful twin daughters, Brittany and Courtney, in 1996.
Don spent the majority of his career at Adventist Health in the IT department. He enjoyed his work and had many valued friends that he cherished over the years he was there.
We all knew Don as highly intelligent, driven and competent. But there was also his other side - a prankster/jokester with a great laugh that we will all miss.
Sports were a big part of his life - whether watching or playing. He was an avid LSU fan. And a Dallas Cowboys fan through the good and the lean years. LOL. He had natural athletic ability and played tennis and golf. Also enjoyed hiking and skiing.
His hobbies and passions in life were varied including photography, anything tech related and music (he attended over 100 concerts in his younger years).
As a lifelong Seventh-Day Adventist, Don had the belief in Christ's second coming and looked forward to the resurrection and reuniting with his family.
We are heartbroken but we're so very blessed to have loved and been loved by such a wonderful man. He will be so missed.
